Product Details: This comes in a box and has a very pretty rose gold packaging which looks classic and admirable. The applicator is a doe foot applicator which I’d always prefer for a mousse like and soft texture! It has a pleasing praline smell which I like.
My take on the Product: After noticing a discount on the Lakme lip & cheek mousse, I was tempted to try this only product from Lakme! There are lots of shades in this particular range and I was confused between a couple of shades and ended up picking this shade called ‘Coffee Lite’. I was pretty impressed with the luxurious packaging and the doe foot applicator that ensures precision and controlled application of the product.
The product has a mousse like texture, very pigmented, feels very comfortable and ‘weightless’ (as the product claims) when freshly applied on the lips. Although on initial application, this does seem like a velvet matte, it actually settles down to a budge-proof matte finish within few minutes of application. This survives about 5-6 hours with one light meal which is totally amazing! It fades a little from the centre of lips after this time span but wouldn’t look weird or blotchy. However, you need exfoliated and moisturized lips before applying this as it can look patchy otherwise.
The price point is quite comfortable for the quality of the product in my opinion, and the discount was just cherry on the cake. It works well as a blush too, blends easily onto the skin although do note that it is very pigmented and you might go overboard with the colour however it might not show up on darker skin tones as a blush. Personally, I wouldn’t prefer this shade as a blush because I like earthy pinks or corals as blushes.
Coffee Lite is a slightly cool toned pinkish-brown nude shade and is a perfect nude lipstick for warm medium to dusky skin tones. It is suitable for everyday office/college wear.
