Hey pretty ladies,
How are you all doing?
The Lakme Absolute makeup range has been quite raved of from the time it’s been launched. They have a quite good range of products but sometimes I feel they are a bit overpriced than their actual worth. I picked up the Lakme Absolute white Intense Concealer from this range which I felt was decently priced and easy to use. There were only 2 shades to choose from – Light to Medium & Medium to Dark. I picked up the one in medium to dark as I felt the Light to Medium concealer would make my under eyes look a bit more white.

My Take on the Product: I have dark circles problem which is not very extreme but my major concern is my deep set (sunken) eyes. It’s been a never ending search to find a concealer that hides my dark circles and uplifts/ brightens my under eye at the same time. Lakme Absolute concealer provides light to medium coverage for under eyes but not a great choice when it comes to concealing blemishes. The texture of the concealer is a bit dry which I think could be a bit more creamy. The concealer will blend easily on oily skin but with dry skin it might settle into fine lines so it’s better that you moisture your under eye area. The concealer makes my under eye look a bit greyish so for a perfect and even finish an under eye corrector is also needed. At this price I am sure they could have provided a bit more shade options.
The good part of this product is the packing; it comes in a twist up lipstick like case. Instead of the plastic cap I would have preferred the cap to be similar to the bottom part as I feel it would have made the concealer look a bit more classy and it’s a concealer I don’t need a transparent cap to check the shade. The plastic cap eventually looks dull after losing its shine and looks tacky with the concealer sticking inside the cap.
Hits – Lakme Absolute White Intense Concealer – Medium to Dark
- Convenient and hassle free to use
- Easy application and travel friendly
- Enriched with Vitamin B3
- Slightly brightens the underyeye
- No need to set it with a powder
- SPF 20
Misses – Lakme Absolute White Intense Concealer – Medium to Dark
- Only 2 shades to choose from
- I would have preferred a bit more creamy and soft texture
- Not very effective in concealing dark circles
- Plastic cap tends to look cheap after a while due to scratches or concealer sticking inside the gap
- On dry skin it might settle into fine lines
- Makes my under eye look a bit greyish
- Needs a corrector to completely conceal undereyes or to remove the white cast
- Stays for mere 3-4 hours after which it starts fading
- 1 year shelf life… (so bad)
Overall Verdict: I am in kind of two minds with this product. At one place where I find this product is a bit dry, on the other hand its easy application and the shade slightly brightens my sunken eyes. I just use it for quick fix when I want to step out of the house and don’t have the patience to get ready. I apply it very lightly under my eye so that it does not take much time in blending and I can move out with fairly decent eyes! The staying power is also quite low. It’s an average concealer for me.
