Loreal Paris Collection Star Red Lipstick – Pure Fire –
Review, Swatches & LOTD
This has been one of the longest breaks after my Huge Beauty Haul post. But as I mentioned I had decided to completely enjoy the festivities and my holiday; and I am glad I did that. Those following me on Insta would know that I had been to Goa for a quick break and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and now I am back, all refreshed with an exciting review!
Last time, when I thought that I had found my perfect red lipstick, I guess I was wrong. On one of my shopping visits with my BFF, I found another red lipstick that completely left me spellbound. Its the Loreal Paris Star Red Lipstick in Pure Fire. In my review on the Loreal Paris Moist Matte lipstick I mentioned that I did not find a right shade in the Star Reds Collection but I was completely wrong. I had just swatched all the shades on my hand but tried only a few. I am so glad that I decided to actually apply a shade which I felt was a bit bright when I swatched it but when I tried it on, It was ‘The One‘ for me.

My Take on the Loreal Paris Star Red Lipstick: The packaging of the Loreal Paris Star Red Lipsticks is quite similar to L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipsticks, its just that the star red lipsticks come in classy black case with a print sign of the shade’s ambassador. I really love how the small colour window of the case easily helps you identify the shade plus the contrast of black and red/orange makes it look super gorgeous!
Moving on to the quality and texture, again I find these similar to the Most Mattes ones but as the name suggests, I guess the Moist Matte Lipsticks are a bit more moisturizing. The best part of the Loreal red lipsticks, is that they all are so good and amazing in quality that a single swipe will cover even the pigmented lips. They stay on for really long around 5-6 hours and even leave a stain behind. They are not very drying but as these lipsticks come in bright shade, its important to exfoliate your lips prior to application so that they do not look patchy.
The shade Pure Fire endorsed by actress Li Bing Bing is a lovely orange shade with red undertones. Firstly, when I swatched the shade, I thought it was too bright for me skin tone, but there is always a difference when you swatch a shade and actually apply it. As I have quite pigmented lips, this orange shade actually balances the darkness of my lips and makes it the perfect red for me. Loreal Paris Star Red Pure Fire is actually one such shade which immediately brightens up my face and perks me up. So whenever you like a lipstick shade but feel that a particular shade might be a bit bright for you, I would still suggest you to try it out. You never know if it might surprise you.
Overall Verdict: When Loreal says there is a Red for every woman, they really mean it. With another collection of Color Riche Exclusive Reds added to the list, I am sure, you are bound to find ‘The Perfect Red lipstick’ for yourself. I have found a star red shade for myself now I will be moving on to find myself a perfect pink!
