Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review, Price & Swatches
Inner beauty is great but a little mascara never hurts 😛 This is my very first experience using Mascara, I never wear a lot of eye makeup and like to keep it simple wearing a kajal. Let’s see if this mascara helps me in getting a dramatic look which I expect it to.
Maybelline Claims: Revolutionary dual-ended mascara for 360 degree All Around Lash Glam. Two brushes specifically designed for top and bottom lashes. Special quick dry formula holds lashes in place.
Why you’ll love it: Now amplify lashes 360! The Upper brush pushes lashes over the top while the lower micro-brush grabs every tiny bottom lash for a full circle effect. For best results: Apply the Upper Brush against the top lashes and sweep from root to tip until a clean, voluminous look is achieved, followed by the lower lash line using the Micro Brush. Do not let dry between coats. Removes with soap water or with Maybelline Clean Express Eye Makeup Remover.
Price : Rs. 599 for 8.7 ml
Packaging: The mascara tube comes packed in a cardboard and plastic packaging which has all the product information mentioned at the back. The mascara comes in a dual colour, fuchsia pink and black tube. There are two ends in this tube, each wand can be opened separately. The thicker bristles wand is for the upper lashes and the narrow-tapered one for lower lashes. Pretty amazing isn’t it? It’s like two mascaras for the price of one 🙂
Product Details: The shade is named “Very Black,” and it is indeed quite a black shade. It takes a minute for the mascara to dry, but once it sets it stays for 9-10 hours (which is quite a long time). The mascara is waterproof and comes off completely only with an oil based makeup remover. The application is easy but it might get a bit clumpy if you apply more than 2 coats. It’s not flakey like the Maybelline hyper curl mascara though. The mascara helps to lengthens each lash and you can achieve a quite dramatic look with it especially with the lower lash wand. I quite liked the concept of two applicator spoolies. The wand has quite tiny fibre bristles and gives your lashes a decent and a natural look without smudging.
Hits : Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
- Widely available
- Jet black shade
- Two applicator spoolies
- Stays really long
- Does not smudge
- Lengthens lashes.
- Gives a dramatic look
- Stopper avoids excess mascara on the bristles
Misses: Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
- Does not add curl – It can just hold curl.
- Upper lash wand does not provide enough volume
- Does not come out easily- since it’s waterproof, oil cleanser or makeup remover works to remove the mascara.
- Multiple coats can cause clumping of lashes
Overall Verdict: I’m happy with the concept of two separate applicators, but I wish the upper lash applicator had some curl to the bristles. Use a curler and then apply the mascara to add nice curls to your lashes which will then stay on for real long.
Overall it does give you a falsies look! I’m happy that Maybelline came up with such a brilliant idea to include two different types of wands. Though the upper lash wand performs quite like the other Maybelline mascaras, the lower lash wand does a great job in coating my tiny and thin lashes. I always had issues with thick bristles and faced problems covering my lower lash but I am happy to find a budget friendly solution to it now.
Which is your favourite mascara? 🙂
