I am back with one more eye product today. I bought this MUA Makeup Academy single eye shadow from Jabong, you can check the Jabong haul post HERE. The main reason for buying this eyeshade was to check the MUA brand. I had heard a lot about this brand and its one of the favourite brands in the UK, so I wanted to check it out.
Price: Rs. 449 for 2g (I got a 35% discount with my order)
Package Description: The MUA eyeshadow comes in a cute round plastic case. It’s a convenient and a travel friendly click-lock case.
Product Details: First I thought the shade 12 was named ‘Pearl’ but as I kept looking for other shades I realised it specified the type of finish of the eyeshadow like matt, pearl etc. Also, when I ordered this shade I was expecting a shimmery grey-ish shade but the shade is more of a reddish brown duochrome shade with a pearl finish. You can even find few shades of coppery brown, silver and olive green in it. I better that you take a look at the swatches to know the exact shade, I would prefer discussing what you girls can’t feel, which is the quality of the product. The shade is creamy and the pigmentation is great, the eye shadow glides on very smoothly. The product quality is amazing and the shade itself is quite unique and beautiful, its similar to MAC’s Club eyeshadow.
Hits – MUA eyeshadow
- Great texture
- Minimal fallout

- Blends easily
- Great colour show off even without the primer
Misses – MUA eyeshadow
- It costs just £1 outside india which is app Rs 200 whereas here we have to pay Rs 449 for the same product

Overall Verdict: Frankly this is the only single eye shadow that I own after the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomogranate. Though single eyeshdows are convenient in carrying purses for touch ups prefer palettes as they are very economical (MUA 12 shade eye palette costs Rs 699 only) and I move out of the house only when I complete my complete eyemakeup as I don’t find time for touch-ups. The shade is beautiful and I don’t think it is included in any of the MUA palettes so you can give it a try it out for sure!
