New U Nail Enamel Review, Price, Swatches & NOTD –
Peachy Plum & Candy
You must have seen these nail enamels in my Nail Paint Haul. After the Loreal Vernis Color Riche Nail polishes post, these have been on my swatch list for quite some time. Finally the post is here now.
For those who do not know this brand, New U is a makeup store in India which brings all makeup brands under one roof. They have their own nail paint range too. The nail polish range is divided into various collections and today I will review 2 shades from 2 different collections; the first is the shade ‘Peachy Plum’ from their ‘Party Poppers‘ collection and the other one is ‘Candy‘ from the ‘Everyday Chemistry‘ Collection.
Price: Like other nail polish brands even these are priced differently for different collections.
The Peachy Plum was priced for Rs 95 and the shade Candy was priced for Rs 80
My Take on the product: The nail enamel comes in a sleek bottle with a black cap. The cap holding the brush is long which gives it a good grip but the nail enamel brush is thin and makes the application a bit difficult. The enamel needs 2 coats to go completely opaque and the staying power is just like the other regular nail enamels. The nail paint did not chip for 3-4 days but after the 5th day started fading near the tips. I noticed that they have quite a lot of different ranges and shades available to pick from but the only problem is finding the New U stores. I have just come across one New U store in the city and these nail enamels are only available through their outlets so availability is not very easy.
These are the 2 shades that I have picked up and below are the swatches:
A lovely orangish-coral shade which is neither too subtle or bright.
A lovely light pink shade with nice pearly finish.
Overall Verdict: If you locate a New U store close to your place, there is no harm in trying out a few shades from this brand. The shades with pearl and holographic finish would be my suggestions.
