Nivea Aloe Hydration Lotion Review

Hey everyone! It’s summer time and Nivea recently came up with a new launch into their existing range of body lotions. This is an innovative launch that they came up with, compared to their old lotions. This one is infused with aloe vera goodness I always trust Nivea with my body care especially their lotions and let’s see how the Nivea Aloe Hydration Lotion fared for me! The Nivea UV protect body lotion is already reviewed here. (Click on ‘here’ to open a new window)

Package Description: This comes in a white traditional Nivea body lotion packaging that has a very convenient pump dispenser so you can control the amount of product you want thereby reducing the chances of over spilling/wastage . This has a runny serum like texture that is very smooth and it has a fresh fragrance.

My take on the product: Nivea being my most trusted brand for body lotions, I was thrilled to know of their new launch and decided to try it out! It is slightly expensive than the other body lotion brands in the drugstore range but Nivea has always had a slightly steeper price point. I honestly don’t mind spending on their products. This lotion is unlike any other lotions I have ever tried from Nivea and even from other brands.

Nivea Aloe Hydration Lotion has a runny consistency which we usually find in face serums. While this formulation could’ve been a bummer, Nivea managed to hold up to their reputation even with this innovative formula of serum in a lotion. Inspite of a runny consistency, it does its job of hydration quite well. This kind of consistency also aids in quick absorption of the product into the skin.

Living in a humid area, what I least expect from a lotion is to be not leave any greasiness on the skin and out of all the Nivea lotions I’ve tried, this one is has the best rate of absorption. The fragrance of this lotion is very refreshing, soothing and perfect for the summer season. It doesn’t linger on the skin for a long time and fades away after about an hour.

While the amount of hydration this lotion suffices for the summer season, the hydration isn’t quite long lasting. For someone with dry skin like me needed reapplication of this lotion even in summers. Also this lotion wouldn’t be the best option for the winter season as that is the time we prefer something more thick and nourishing. Another thing I noticed was that this lotion is extremely runny and you can end up spilling the product if not applied quickly.
